I`ve been a fan of Eartha Kitt since I was a kid so I was really glad someone did her for Snatch Game at last. I thought Chi Chi did a good job and I especially liked that she gave herself a cat bath. She could have slung in Eartha`s iconic drawn out purrrr though.

As the last few seasons have had 14 queens and this one only has 12, i`m hoping that Betty will get an arch and be the second returning queen. She was so consistently good in all the tasks that it seems such a waste to kick her off just for a poor Snatch Game choice. Naomi`s "New York" was much worse and could have been anyone.

I couldn`t stand carb free Brittney from episode one and I think it`s a crime that Derrick hasn`t lip synched yet and fucked off back to Vegas. I so wanted Bob to punch her when she was bitching at him in the work room :)

I love Eartha Kitt, too! I grew up watching the original Batman with her as Catwoman. I was so happy that Chi Chi pulled her off so well. The cat bath was great, I just wish she been facing the front and did more of a cat washing it's face type of thing.

You know my feelings on Betty. I've come to love her dearly and was crushed by the elimination. I keep hoping that just maybe Ru will bring her back, which, given the tone of this season, it's really out of the realm of possibility. Everything has been shaken up because of the 100th episode/100th queen thing, and we're still early enough on in the season that it's possible. Her elimination felt sort of strategic, like maybe Ru was planning something. I'm not saying Betty's Nancy wasn't dreadful, but still, she's been consistently strong up till now.

When I lived in a punk squat I used to play my Eartha Kitt records and a couple of the cliche punks would take the piss. They eased up when I explained to them that she was the punk of her day, a total outcast that didn`t fit with the black or white and was ousted from the U.S for being a peace activist.
When she died I lit a candle for her and the flame flickered like mad. I like to think that was a sign that the spirit was present :)

I had an odd feeling Betty was gonna get bumped off the show at the first excuse, which is why I think she also stands a good chance of returning. I didn`t know who her Snatch Game character was but I could tell that even she thought it stank.

Wow, what did they think of her after that? Miss Eartha was a pretty amazing lady.

I bet that if Ru does bring Betty back it'll be along the lines of, "I think I've made a mistake, I just can't stop thinking about..." Isn't that how she approached Carmen's return? Or was it someone else?

Nancy Grace does news on TV and she's VERY opinionated and obnoxious about it. Honestly, it could have been a slam dunk for Betty, but she just didn't put in any oomph. She was, and I'm shocked to say this about her, way too timid.

She also did Dancing with the Stars and she had the sweetest partner and.... she terrorized him. Made fun of him for his heavy Irish accent. Was difficult and obstinate. It was awful. I bet he was relieved when she was eliminated. :(

One punk guy read the lyrics to "I Want To Be Evil" and rewrote it as a song for his own band, so I guess he could see that Eartha was unconventional for her time even if her music didn`t have thrashing guitars :)

Sounds like Betty could have really gone to town sending up that bigot and instead just bombed. I`m surprised at her choice if she wasn`t sure she could pull it off. If she doesn`t come back I hope Bob and Thorgy just slay the rest of the season.

I checked out your icons already and there great. I had a go at making some gif icons of this seasons Drag Racers but they seem to be too big to load up to LJ :/

She really could have, if only she'd have done the research. It makes me wonder if that's who she'd originally planned on doing because it sure didn't seem like it. Bah, so she didn't come back. Here's hoping she'll make it on All Stars someday. I've got my eye on Thorgy. I like Bob, but I'm not in love with her.

Thank you! :) Hmmm.... I don't really know much about making icons. I get excited when a basic crop looks decent, lol. Have you tried shortening up the gif? Sometimes that will help. I`ve actually quite taken to Naomi after her great scarecrow look. I`d already dismissed her before the season even started as a young queen who wouldn`t bring anything worthwhile and would be gone in the first couple of episodes, but i`m glad that she`s proved me wrong.

Thorgy`s style is a bit bedraggled and I tend to prefer drag that`s better executed, though as a person he has a great upbeat energy and is a total sweetheart. I would be fine about Thorgy taking the crown.
Apart from Derrick i`m not really feeling Kim Chi, but then I often tend not to like the fan favourites.

Me and technology are not on the best of terms, so i`m gonna just give up trying to fathom how to do moving icons. I`m also really bad at following written instruction, so have to be shown how to do something before I pick it up :/

ARGH, so sorry for the late reply. These last few weeks have been super crazy. I'm behind on pretty much everything. :(

I've been pretty impressed by Naomi as well. I never disliked her, but she just didn't really do it for me. But she's really started to open up and do more here recently. I like that she seems educated about her craft, that's very impressive.

Thorgy's style never did it for me, it was more about her personality and humor. That's what I love about Throgy.

I do love Kim Chi, there's something so sweet and sad about her, which I'm sure has a lot to do with her backstory.

Haha, I hear that. I've tried the tutorials before, it has never ended well for me. :P
