More people than ever now believe RDR is rigged, and I'm starting to believe them. Forget charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. If this is any indication, what you really need to win this contest is runway, glamour, and the biggest sob story. Being tall, black, and willing to sabotage and physically assault the other contestants probably doesn't hurt your chances either, and the latter will probably even get you a shitload of perks.

In any case, Pandora is clearly the queen who benefited most from this season, while Tyra (much as I am loathe to agree with Raven) will probably never really become a drag superstar, no matter what she or RuPaul would have us believe. Someone on another board made an eerie prediction of what Tyra's Drag Race Tour performance would be: "Hi, I am Tyra Sanchez, the New Tyra and America's Next Drag Superstar. I love Beyonce. Now watch me walk up and down this stage for 10 minutes."

Raven didn't win and has been exposed as the nasty, jealous, mean-spirited bitch we all knew she was. Not that Raven cares or even shows the slightest amount of genuine remorse. Whatever, dicksack.

Tatianna got to have her much-deserved retaliation, and yet RuPaul urges her to become more thick-skinned. Leave the crack alone, Rupaul; that's what made you look like a hot mess on Project Runway and misjudge this entire competition.

Pandora really did deserve the consolation prize (I could have sworn there was cash involved in that when Nina won it; am I wrong?), but it's really a Fan Favorite award rather than "Miss Congeniality", otherwise Jessica should have gotten it. (Although some suspect that the reason Jessica got along with everyone is because she barely understood what they were all saying. :p )

Shut up, Morgan, you're still a mean little bitch and you did totally dress and act like a $2 skankwhoreslut most of the time. Don't try and turn it on Tatianna just because she pointed it out. And even then, neither of you said anything with half as much malice as Raven.

I love that Shangela brought her own Miss California Entertainer (or something) crown to show how much she's grown since she was eliminated, and that she created the cornsage. *AND* that she, as a native Texan, shredded Mystique's silly urban/mall country excuses. If she actually gets to come back for Cycle 3, I would not object.

If only RuPaul had had the good sense to throw the final two out and crown Nina Flowers instead. Ugh. I'm going to join the others in pretending the show was cancelled due to moral outrage after Jujubee was eliminated. I'm being generous here, because most of the people I've seen voicing the same feelings pretend the show was cancelled due to moral outrage after Pandora left, and sometimes after Tatianna if they're really trying to give this season a chance. Seriously, they're not looking for America's Next Drag Superstar anymore. Clearly, they're looking for America's Next Top Drag Supermodel (which in hindsight Bebe also fits the bill for), and should reposition their messages thus.

And even with the win, Tyra is nowhere near the same class of queen as Bebe Zahara Benet.

wow, you seem really angry towards raven, despite the fact that she fucking apologized during the reunion to tatianna... tati talked as much shit about the other queens (if not more), yet it was ok for her to say those things and not for raven to say them?

I'm not "angry" at Raven - none of her shit was directed at me personally, so that would be a little ludicrous. I'm disappointed in her as a person because of her behavior. As was said, she took many an opportunity to trash pretty much every other queen in the competition, simply because she could. Meanwhile, I have yet to see Tatianna trash anyone in a way that was not in response to being trashed by someone else or in the defense of someone else.

The difference is that Tatianna, Jujubee, Pandora, Sahara, et al trash-talked in response/defense to something. Raven's trash-talking, on the other hand, has always been on the attack. Ditto for Morgan, to a much lesser extent. Just because it's all bitching doesn't make it the same.

Yes, Raven's a bitch. But that's her personality, her character, her style, in the same way that Pandora's style is to be funny and a bit campy. I wish people would just lay off of Raven for being a bitch. of course she's unapologetic. She came into this competition with the persona of a cold, frosty bitch. Good for her for sticking to her guns!! But she did drop her persona a bit, especially for the Drag Mother competition. And she made friends.
In my opinion, if Raven values you, then you're worth being valued.

You're entitled to your opinion, but 1) who the hell made Raven the arbiter of anyone's personal value, and 2) Raven is at best a dubious judge of character.

And where I come from, one can be a strong, dedicated individual without being a bitch who needs to take down others in order to make themselves feel better. "Hurt or be hurt" isn't really the way human society works - it's just how the people who bring society down work. That's not an admirable quality at all to me.

To be perfectly honest, Raven did. She's the kind of person who is self-confident, vocal, and damn good at what they do, whatever that may be. In short, an expert. Perhaps valued isn't the proper term. I guess I should say if Raven respects you, you're worth being respected. She was (one of) the oldest queens on this season. She's been around the block. She knows things. She can see talent, and she can tell when people are just a pretty face (ie: Tatiana). Like she said in the Reunion Episode, when her opinion was asked for, she gave it. They all did. Juju, Tyra, Tati, Jessica...the list goes on and on. Every queen insulted every other queen for something. Everyone's a critique. That's part of the show. Raven had/has undeniable talent, and she was nice to and about the people who earned her respect.

...I'm sorry, but I still have so many problems with that statement. So if Raven doesn't respect you, you're not worthy of respect? To quote Tatianna: bullshit. No one's value or self-respect should be contingent on anyone else, let alone an inordinately nasty drag queen. The only person who is allowed to assess your self-worth or self-respect is you. Anyone who believes otherwise has been lied to, is a fool, or both.

As someone far more eloquent than me stated on the EW board, there's a fine line between bitchiness and cruelty, even for a drag queen. Plenty of the queens this year toed that fine line, but Raven outright crossed it.

and willing to sabotage and physically assault the other contestants probably doesn't hurt your chances either, and the latter will probably even get you a shitload of perks.

That pissed me off royally. Forget the wigs and make-up (though that was certainly obnoxious), she really could've seriously hurt Juju and the fact that Ru didn't call her out on it and Tyra tried to giggle it off like it was nothing makes me more angry the more I think about it. I think that moment during the critique also made me mad, because I had flashbacks to last season's finale when Rebecca insulted the other girls and then tried to giggle and like it was so cute of her to do. It's not.

"Hi, I am Tyra Sanchez, the New Tyra and America's Next Drag Superstar. I love Beyonce. Now watch me walk up and down this stage for 10 minutes."

Lol! Sounds fairly accurate, I think. I'm planning on trying to see the tour in June and if that happens, I swear I'm walking out. Or throwing tomatoes.

I could have sworn there was cash involved in that when Nina won it; am I wrong?

I don't remember the exact amount of it, but yeah, I'm pretty sure they did give her money to spend during the Vegas trip that she won.

If she actually gets to come back for Cycle 3, I would not object.

Neither would I. Just from the little we got to see of her, I loved Shangela's personality and eagerness to learn and grow, etc. It would be cool if they gave her another go.

I'm going to join the others in pretending the show was cancelled due to moral outrage after Jujubee was eliminated.

Is it bad that I couldn't really muster up enough emotion to be outraged at Juju leaving? She's my number two girl this season, so you'd think I would've been really pissed as opposed to, "aw, that sucks." I think I was too emotionally burnt out by the eliminations of Jessica and Pandora that I just didn't have it in me.

Clearly, they're looking for America's Next Top Drag Supermodel (which in hindsight Bebe also fits the bill for), and should reposition their messages thus.

It really does seem that way, I wish they would just say it already. And though I'm not a fan of Bebe, per se (the wide eyes during her lipsyncs was off-putting, to say the least), I could deal with her winning, because at least she has the charisma, uniqueness, nerve, talent, as well as class and grace. Things that seemed missing from Tyra for the most part.

Why haven't I heard that word before! I love it.

To be honest, I think I just made it up in that post. :p But the word "dicksmack" has been around for a long time; maybe you were thinking of that one?

She's been off substances for a long long while now, as far as I know. Maybe she was just tired or Mathu Anderson was off topping himself that day.

If Mathoo (God, I hate that guy's name) was her makeup artist even back then, he should have been docked however much he would have been paid for Ru's entire stint on PR. Because she looked like hammered shit in that episode, and it was incredibly jarring because I couldn't remember a time when RuPaul did not look gorgeous. The line about being on crack was a joke - possibly in poor taste - but that really is the worst I have ever seen RuPaul look, in either her male or female drag.

I'm pretty sure that they gave Nina cash for being nice, yes.

I hope Pandora got the same amount, then, because I don't remember Ru saying anything about Pandora getting anything but an all-expense-paid trip to Vegas and tickets to see Cher. If Nina got cash and Pandora didn't, that's kind of messed up. Unless Pandora's trip and concert tickets come to the same amount that Nina won.

I don't know that the problem was with her wig on PR. I remember that her cheeks were so sunken in, like RuPaul wasn't eating or something. It was really kind of scary, and made me think she should have been recuperating in the hospital rather than judging PR. :/

Oh I'm sure Pandora's aware that the material rewards aren't what RDR is all about. I just meant that the Miss Congeniality/Fan Favorite award should be equal as a nod to fairness. I know the grand prize was increased from $20,000 when Bebe won to $25,000 this year, and so if Pandora's MC prize was also worth more than Nina's then that's okay. It's just the increased budget of the show talking. But if Nina won a substantial amount of cash, and Pandora just got a vacation package that isn't worth the same amount, that's not exactly fair.

It's such a pity that I don't remember what Nina exactly won, and it's not written down on Wikipedia or anything. Guess I'll have to back and watch the Season 1 Reunion to see. :p
