Discussion behind a cut for the spoiler-phobic. :)



Adore: love the dress, but she looks awfully stiff.

Alaska: ooooo, fabulous look! Love the pop of pink gloves, love the swirl on the lining of the cape.

Alyssa: Gorgeous color. I'm not used to seeing her as a blonde, but it's working. I worry that she will fall off her shoes.

Coco: Girl, look how photoshopped you fuckin' look, girl. Airbrushed (un)realness.

Detox: Now this is stunning. The dimensional floral overskirt, the drapey sleeves, the gold leaf "gloves"--wow wow wow.

Ginger: Man in a dress. Which is funny because I don't remember getting that from her before. Her hairline is looking better!

Katya: Weird but compelling. Just like her.

Phi Phi: Also stunning. The maribou sleeves, the brocaded dress, the rich purple sash and cloak. Love it.

Roxxxy: Also very airbrushed. And the skirt hangs oddly. Hrm. Don't like it.

Tatianna: Feels a bit off-theme compared to the others...more modern. It's ok tho.

So one from s.2, one from s.4, five from s.5, one from s.6, two from s.7. Season five WAY overrepresented.

Thank you so much for posting this! And I'm sorry about the late reply, I just saw it. (It's been a rough few days.) Let me take a look at the tags. I wouldn't think the amount would be an issue, but who knows.

Ok, as it turned out, Tati didn't even have a tag, lol. (I don't think all of the queens from the earlier seasons do, to be honest.) I don't know why it wouldn't let you use all of the tags, but they're on there now. :)



I hate how season 5 heavy the cast is. I wish they had an equal number representing each season. You know certain pairs/trios were brought back for the drama.

My money is on Adore.

I would trade Coco for Mariah or Ongina or DeLa in a heartbeat. She didn't do all that well on her season and she hasn't grown exponentially since then. Presumably the "script" will have Alyssa send HER home for BALANCE and RETRIBUTION and DRAMA. Bah. (To be clear, I do not know this, it is not a spoiler, just familiarity with how they like to edit the show!)

Ugh, yeah, Coco's in was most probably the ~drama~ aspect with Alyssa. Now I'm even less enthusiastic to see her in the show. #mehhhhhhh

I would trade out so many of them, honestly. They're are WAY more talented queens they could have chosen, like BenDeLa or Ongina.

This cast was picked for drama, rather than talent.

No worries, speculation is totally acceptable. :P

I'm thrilled about this even though I might've switched a few of the queens. It's funny that, a few years down the line, I'm feeling less enthused about some that used to be my faves (Adore and Katya) while totes stanning those whose careers I follow (Alyssa, Alaska, and--to a lesser extent--Detox).

My feelings are neutral about Tati, Coco, and Ginger. Would've switched them with April Carrilon, Jiggly Caliente, and Ongina. YMMV

Got my eyerolling skills ready for Roxxxy (I still find her to be insufferable).

The "twist" is that, having seen the amazing cosplay/makeup skills of one Phi Phi "Go Back to Party City" O'hara, she's the one queen I'm super curious about. She's gone through some dark times and has emerged as someone who has a lot of talent. Her attitude during her season still sets my teeth on edge, but she's also grown up a lot.

Yes, Phi Phi has put together some extraordinary looks in the past couple of years. And I think her attitude has improved dramatically. Definitely looking forward to her!

Tati was such a baby queen on her season...now, she's got more than a couple of performances under her belt and I think she has more to show us. Ginger was top 3 on her season so I ain't mad that she qualifies as an all-star. But Coco...as noted above, Coco is 96% there as an antagonist for Alyssa, and I'd be happy to trade her out for someone else.

My one hope is that they don't do the team set-up 'cause that was a mess. >:(

I haven't followed Tati's career or Coco's because neither of them caught my attention. Maybe they've both improved since their time in the show? One can only hope, right?

Ginger got oomph, but I felt that her attitude stank in the latter half of her season (she was a shit-stirrer extraordinaire). I'm not exactly thrilled to see her in All-Stars 2, but even I can't deny that she's got more than enough talent to merit coming back to the show.
