Chad's theme is The Hunger Games this season. I loved team Rujubee's look the best on Runway.

Subscriptions to underwear clubs.
How much worse can it get?
Much worse, I hope.

especially after alexis's tirade, it would've been too obvious to eliminate them

"Manila was my main girl and has been my favorite since season 3. " Same. I loved Manila in season 3. I adored season 2 so much and I didn't think that I would like the season 3 queens but she was my favorite almost right away. I love a lot of the queens in this All Stars season but she's my ultimate fav and I really, really wanted her to win. :( I think that she's been fab all season and it's such a shame that both team members have to be eliminated each week. :(

I...don't understand why Mama Ru would keep Yarlexis around. They performed the lowest and their runway was all over the place. Had either of them LSFYL and won, I'd have still be sad to see Team Latrila go. It just wouldn't have read as arbitrary as it did.
So now I'm cheering for Team Rujubee and trying not to show kitty claws at Yarlexis. >:-/

I wish that Yarlexis had been eliminated instead. I didn't feel that they did as much in the challenge and it didn't have anything to do with a language barrier. I just didn't think that either of them were as out there and dedicated as some of the other teams. It's interesting, though, that each team had a member who did great and worked really hard, and a member who struggled and seemed to lag behind.

*nods* This week's Untucked touched a little on this. But, yeah, every single team has one queen who isn't serving everything--when, clearly, they should. I mean, this is All-Stars after all.
I was upset after Team Latrila sashayed away. Thanks to their video, though, I can see that they've moved on. It's also great to see them being friends.

I agree-there is definitely one member of each time, since the first ep, who doesn't seem to be trying as hard as her partner. I don't get why. I mean, this is All-Stars after all. Exactly; it should be an honor to be there. I kind of think that some girls aren't getting that.
I was really upset that Latrila sashayed away too. I actually made the mistake of jumping on twitter to tweet something before the episode had aired on the west coast and just under my tweet in the timeline was one from Manila on her and Latice's new video The Chop. So I had a feeling going into watching this ep that they were going to be eliminated but I was in such denial the whole time. I honestly wanted Manila to win this whole thing. I really think that she's the fiercest of the All Stars; she works so hard and I don't know if everyone takes her as seriously as I feel that they should. I've watched clips of her performances online and they're amazing! So even after watching The Chop a few times I'm still bummed that they were eliminated and that Manila didn't win. But she seems quite at peace with it and as you said, moved on. It's also great to see them being friends. It really is. I saw or read Manila say that Latrice is her sister now for life! I love how RuPaul's Drag Race can create bonds like that! I love the video for The Chop-they both look great and they look like they had a blast. <3

Honestly, I give everyone on the show the benefit of the doubt up to a point (regarding editing). Though, iirc, Chad wasn't as snarky as she was in S4.
The video is faboo! Here's hoping we get more music and vids from them. ^_^

What's iirc?
I don't know; this show loves to edit things any way the feel creates the most drama. Untucked is a huge indicator of that. Phi Phi's complained quite loudly on twitter that some of her statements were taken out of context, and in season 4 I felt like the editors spoiled the outcome of the lip sync by focusing on the winner so that you could tell ahead of time who won. So I don't know; I really wouldn't be surprised if they were giving certain girls different edits-I mean other reality shows do so why not them? Either way it's still a vastly entertaining show. And series of shows.
Aw, I agree! I love the song and the video. It's so much fun!!! :D Yes, lets hope they do more together in the future. :D

Re the editing: I might be wrong, but I seem to remember Pandora Boxx saying something to the tune of "people are EXACTLY what you see in the show." She might've said it in one of the RuCaps?
The one queen who's the exception is William. I seem to remember her telling Tom & Lorenzo that she was 'in character' the whole time she was in the show. The reasoning was that she thought it would make her stand out in the show.
I'm thinking about your comment upthread where you said I don't get why. I mean, this is All-Stars after all. Exactly; it should be an honor to be there. I kind of think that some girls aren't getting that.
Even if they're playing in teams and it's a shortened season (compared to a regular one), some queens haven't really given it their all. I'm thinking of Nina Flowers. I was so excited about seeing her, but she was very much in the background.

Hhm, that's interesting. It seems to me like the producers and editors do a fair bit of manipulating with the editing but I could be wrong. Pandora also said that the editing for the first episode made her look like she was upset about being paired with Mimi when in actuality she was feeling really sick most of the time she was there, and told the camera that she wasn't feeling well, and that they edited that all out. Which really wouldn't surprise me.
lol, I can totally see Willam being in character the whole time. That's probably what pissed off people like Phi Phi so much. Willam has a great character and she seems like, whether in character or not, she wouldn't mind pissing people off. XD Gotta love her.
Yeah, that's true. Some queens tend to stay in the background until half way through their season; which won't work here. I wonder if Ru will do another All Star season and if it'll be a full length season and if she'll invite any of the eliminated queens (from this time around) back again? I guess it's all just for fun but I do enjoy watching them.

I think the bottom two was a toss-up, since all three teams had pretty visible setbacks: Latrila's sardines, Yarlexis' hesitation with Yara, and Rujubee's inability for Jujubee to get her act together in the control room. But I guess Alexis' outburst won them reality TV points with Ru.
The lip sync was probably going to go Juju's way anyway because she's just better at performing to poppier songs. But Manila made the mistake of losing her headpiece and going for crazy face: it made her look like Morticia Addams and took her out of the bad girl realness component. Jujubee, on the other hand, looked like a member of En Vogue or SWV and was right on point.
I am going to miss Latrila, though. I guess I have to root for Shad now. But what was up with Manila and the portrait removal? I couldn't tell if knocking down Juju's portrait was shady or accidental, because other than that Manila never really seemed antagonistic towards Jujubee, even right after LSFYL.

Totally agreed. I was so excited for the season, until they announced the team aspect. Then I was cautiously excited, because it was still a ton of queens I love, but now I'm just frustrated and disappointed. It's not compelling, the eliminations and winners seem arbitrary since literally NO ONE has really impressed me yet this season, and I just keep feeling like Ru is just flipping a coin to decide who ends up in the bottom two. I don't really feel like we're getting a true all star, because it just feels like we're going to end up with the queen who managed to tread water long enough to be the last one afloat.

I honestly haven't been impressed by any of the lip syncs, any of the mini- challenges, and barely impressed with the main challenges. It's weird that the all star season hasn't been as fun as a regular season. :/
