Snatch Game, Part II

General notes:
I was a bit sorry to say goodbye to Acid Betty, but I think we'd seen most of what we were going to see from her (to be fair, some of the more amazing looks of the season), except for the library episode. I am surprised by how much she's grown on me -- I usually detest queens who come out swinging, but I think she just needs some time to heal -- some of that attitude is coming from a creative person who's been hurt and has formed a protective shell. I feel like there's a really decent person under there who's got a lot of defenses up from her parents passing away, from her time being overweight, etc. We were just starting to see some of those defenses drop -- I like the moment in the previous Untucked episode where she's brushing out Chi Chi's wig. She was so laid back and pleasant on Periscope with the attendees last night. I think she's smart enough to be aware that she tends to put out a prickly exterior when she's in a new situation and unsure of the landscape, and maybe tried to turn that tendency into an advantage by intentionally going for the villain edit? I don't know.

If displaying range and versatility is what Drag Race is theoretically supposed to be about (we've seen some seasons where it wasn't), then Chi Chi is my girl this season. She might not have the money to bring expensive looks, but she's been good in every single challenge, and has excelled in a number of them. I admire her determination. Bob's been great, too: I'd certainly be fine with him winning. However, Chi Chi came a lot farther to get where she is now, and I just love her heart.
