'RuPaul’s Drag Race is coming soon! By soon, I mean January 2012… You know how long it takes for drag queens to get ready. But today there’s news about some of the guest judges who’ll be sharing the judges’ table with RuPaul, and weekly judges Michelle Visage and Santino Rice.

We’re talking stars of Glee and Modern Family, for starters! Yup, TV Guide reports that both Amber Riley (Glee‘s Mercedes) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) will turn up with the turned-out queens in Season 4. And other judges sashaying by for visits will include Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rose McGowan, Loretta Devine, and Kelly Osbourne. More judges have yet to be announced.

In a "Modern Family" way: Ru gets up close and personal with guest judge Jesse Tyler Ferguson

Apparently both Riley and Ferguson are very, very excited about their upcoming stints on Drag Race. “This show does something very special for the gay community,” explains Ferguson to TV Guide. “There’s a message hidden inside the totally gaudy package that is so fun to watch. It’s all about loving and accepting yourself, and every season I’m surprisingly moved by it.”' source

Ru, Raja, Delta Work and Shangela were on The Soup. (Why can I never embed anything successfully??)

And!! Margaret Cho is guest judging tomorrow!

Pictures of (almost) EVERYONE at the premiere party yesterday --- HERE and HERE.

And look, Merle Ginsberg's permanent judge position has been taken over by a lady queen called Michelle Visage. And some of the guest judges will be Margaret Cho (!!), Carmen Electra, LaToya Jackson, Amber Rose, Chloƫ Sevigny, Lily Tomlin, Johnny Weir and Vanessa Williams!

Also, a question -- would people want to have a weekly discussion post when the season starts on January 24? And would anyone be interested in starting that? (I won't be able to do it).

ETA: Lots more premiere pictures at After Elton!

On the show, Headmaster RuPaul and her team of Drag Professors (your RuPaul’s Drag Race faves including Raven, Jujubee, Ongina, Pandora Boxx, Shannel, Tammie Brown, Nina Flowers and Morgan McMichaels) educate real women on the art of drag and fabulousness. It’s madness. It’s empowering!

To get ready, watch the fun batch of red-carpet interviews that World of Wonder’s newsmaven Damiana Garcia has cooked up with RuPaul and her drag professors. Divine!'

Marissa Jaret Winokur ('Hairspray') and Tatum O'Neal.

These pictures sort of terrify me. How tall is RuPaul? Or are these people 4 feet tall?

Look, look: Ongina is doing an ongoing series of short videos for the HIV + Me project, talking about her experience and with other young poz people about their own. You can watch them here on Logo. (Bonus: these are not blocked outside of the US). They're definitely worth watching. She's a good interviewer and the interviews are surprisingly frank and very touching really.

Here's a picture of Ongina looking extra fabulous, just because. )

Henry Rollins (amazing straight ally and guest judge this week) has a new piece in Vanity Fair: It's Time for Gays to Start Discriminating Against the Catholic Church. Raven and Tatianna know that he's hot )

Here's a fun review of the latest episode, 'Rocker Chicks' (contains spoilers, obviously). And some spoilery clips from Jezebel (Henry liked being flipped off! ♥ Ru may have made him blush! Jessica Wild's sources of inspiration are the muppets and Jem & the Holograms! Could she be any more adorable?)

Bebe Zahara Benet writes a weekly column about the show, and interviews the eliminated contestants, for pridesource.com; her newest one can be read here.

Finally, for all the any(?) Tyra fans (no, seriously I have to admit sometimes she has pretty makeup) here's an excellent tutorial to replicate her gold cut-crease eye makeup. It looks hard. )
